At a time of paralyzing drought in the West, where ‘the only thing we have to fear is fear itself,’ we discover Lizzie, a girl whose father and two brothers are worried as much about her becoming an old maid as they are about their dying cattle — when out of nowhere appears an unexpected visitor. Honey-tongued and grandiose, he promises rain. For $100. And the rain comes. And so does love.”Massachusetts and Cape Cod actors Neil McGarry and Miranda Jonte return in this American classic. The two will also codirect the production. Funny honest, and sincere, The Rainmaker is a quintessential piece of Americana, and a timeless romance.Tickets are $35 general admission including fees.
