Jack O’Neill and Cary Pierce, the “Jacko” and “Pierce,” make up the seminal duo Jackopierce. They've been making music for 35 years that has amassed a loyal followings of millions of fans around the world with their super high-energy live shows and what the Dallas Morning News calls “spotless harmonies.”
Jackopierce began in 1988 as theater students at the legendary Meadows School of the Arts at SMU in Dallas. The duo steadily made a name for themselves, and within 5 years, they were signed to major label A&M and recording their debut, "Bringing on the Weather" with uber-producer, T Bone Burnett. They have toured three continents, nine countries, and 46 states. They have shared the stage with John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Matchbox20, Counting Crows, Wallflowers, Sheryl Crow, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Vertical Horizon, Lyle Lovett - to name a few. After a five-year breakup, the guys reunited in 2002 to test the waters. They were warm - and the guys have been back together ever since.
Jackopierce is busier than ever before, releasing new music monthly and touring all across the country. Jack & Cary have a totally renewed creative vigor, mutual respect and deep gratitude for each other and their fans. “Even after 35 years I feel like we're just getting started,” said Cary. "I love this guy like a brother," says Jack.
Singer-songwriter Dave Tamkin has carved out a distinctive niche in the acoustic music scene with his energetic performances and heartfelt songwriting. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Tamkin's musical journey has taken him through Boulder, Colorado, and he now resides in Madison, Wisconsin. His unique style blends rhythmic acoustic guitar work with personal, honest lyrics, creating a sound that resonates with audiences nationwide.
Tamkin's live performances range from intimate solo acoustic sets to dynamic full-band experiences with his ensemble, e (DT&CO.). This versatility has allowed him to share the stage with a diverse array of artists, including Guster, Will Hoge, The Samples, Brendan James, Rusted Root, Donavon Frankenreiter, Butch Walker, Freddy Jones Band, Eric Hutchinson, Willy Porter, The Violent Femmes, and Peter Mulvey. His passion for music is evident in every performance, captivating audiences with his undying enthusiasm and connection to his craft.
Beyond his musical endeavors, Tamkin is committed to giving back to the community. In 2020, he released the single "Shoes," aiming to raise funds to provide footwear for those in need through the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless. This initiative reflects his dedication to using his music as a platform for positive change.
Throughout his career, Tamkin has received acclaim for his sophisticated and radio-friendly tracks. Marquee Magazine highlighted his work, noting that his collection of songs is both "sophisticated" and "easy-listening." His ability to connect with audiences through energetic performances and frenetic guitar work sets him apart in the singer-songwriter landscape.
