Small Group Song Bath & Reiki

Join an intimate, 4-person restorative experience co-held by songleader & sound artist Jordan Mudd & Reiki practitioner elena elizabeth.

In a song bath, Jordan uses music, sound, and song to create a sonic container within which relaxation, presence, embodiment, and release can be found. Voice is his primary instrument, both improvisationally and through the use of simple, repeatable songs to support your emotional process - accompanied by gentle guitar, sound bowls, chimes, and percussion. Jordan often makes invitations to participants to bring their own voices into the experience as well, at their own choosing. There will be an opportunity at the beginning of each session for participants to name any emotions they'd like to be present with, which will shape the music and song choice.Reiki:  Rei = Universal, Ki = Vital energy.  Reiki is a system of healing through channeling life force energy through one's hands.  elena has accompanied healing as a Reiki practitioner for over 12 years, and brings to this practice deep listening and gentle accompaniment.  Throughout the song bath, each person will receive around 15 minutes of individualized Reiki. There will be opportunities for participants to note what areas of their bodies they'd like to focus on if desired, and if they are or are not comfortable with hands-on touch.elena and Jordan work intuitively, so each session will be different and responsive to the energy of the people in the room.

The experience will last an hour, with a few minutes for orienting before and decompressing after.Locations:<ul><li>Our Saturday 7/18 events will be held in the Pause Yoga Studio: 91 Hampshire St in Cambridge. The location is a 15 minute walk from the Central or Kendall T stops, and there is metered street parking nearby.</li><li>Our Monday 7/20 events will be held in elena's home studio in Jamaica Plain, a 15 minutes uphill walk from the Green Street station on the Orange Line, with free street parking available (address given upon registration). Inside elena's home, there are 3 flights of stairs to get t our meeting space.</li></ul>Cost: regular cost is $65, with sliding scale options from $45 - 85. If you are able to pay higher on the scale, that helps keep this offering accesible to those who can't pay the regular price. Additionally, there is an option to pay an extra donation towards a scholarship fund, 100% of which will go towards providing a future free/low-cost ticket for those most impacted by racial capitalism.RSVP on Eventbrite required. About the Facilitatorselena elizabeth hendrick is a transformational facilitator of personal and collective learning, healing, and ritual experiences. As a facilitator she integrates the belief that we are all teachers and all students, all connected on the journey towards liberation. As a practitioner of somatics, reiki, family constellations, biodanza, dialogue and creative arts education, she co-creates space with participants while embodying a practice of presence and deep listening. She believes that grief tending happens most fully in community, and leads the way to aliveness, liberation and joy. elena also brings years of leadership and practice in the communal work of creating cultures of peace.Jordan Mudd is a songleader, musician, vocal coach, grief tender, and ritualist based in Jamaica Plain, commited to using song as a tool for personal, collective, and spiritual liberation. He co-founded the <a href="https://www.bostonareasingingcircles.com/" title="https://www.bostonareasingingcircles.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Boston-Area Singing Circles</a> community in 2023, and launched his <a href="https://www.jordanmudd.com/" title="https://www.jordanmudd.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">private practice of vocal coaching &amp; grief tending</a> in 2025.Jordan and elena have been coleading spaces for healing, connection &amp; transformation for the past two years, and move with a deep trust in each other, the wisdom of the body and the collective, and in spirit at work through them.
