Anywhere: Personal Care Kits for Unhoused Neighbors thru 7.31.27

Who this Anywhere Project is for:

What you'll be doing:

Help kids learn about homelessness while making a difference in their community. Children will decorate a message of caring and assemble personal care kits with helpful items for unhoused neighbors, discovering how small acts of kindness make our community stronger and more connected.

This Anywhere Project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are!

This project is on-going. Participate anytime until the project ends on July 31st, 2027. Deliver donations to one of our three nonprofit partners (Horizon House, Dayspring Center, Merciful H.E.L.P. Center) conveniently located throughout Central Indiana, with multiple drop-off days and times to fit your schedule. Drop off addresses and instructions will be provided in your service packet.

How it all works:

Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes a short video to open hearts and minds, project instructions, and more. If for some reason you cannot access this file, please email indy@seedsofcaring.org for assistance.

The meaning-making:

Engaging children’s hearts and minds before getting their hands active with service is a vital step in raising caring, compassionate humans. In every Seeds of Caring service packet, you'll find quick, easy-to-use guides to support you in leading meaning-making conversations! This project's guided discussion focuses on homelessness.

Approximate Cost:

Approximately $5 for 1 personal care kit including 3+ hygiene items (full packing list included in service packet).
