Drifting Roots is an original reggae band based out of Central Florida. The band was founded in San Diego, CA in 2018 by Matthew Mavericks. After establishing musical roots in California, Matt relocated home to Florida. The music is written, recorded, and produced by Matt in his home music studio in Satellite Beach, FL. The touring lineup has Matt (guitar/lead vox), Joey Zizzo(bass/vox), and Jordenn Garcia(drums) bringing a high energy performance with lyrics that stay true to roots reggae.
Drifting Roots have had the pleasure to share the stage with artists such as Collie Buddz, Steel Pulse, Julian Marley, The Movement, Mike Love and Authority Zero. With two Top 5 iTunes Charting albums out (Life is Good 2021) & (Meant to Be 2022), Drifting Roots also recently dropped a new 5 song EP titled (Find a Way 2024). From the East Coast to the West Coast and everywhere in between, Drifting Roots tours relentlessly sharing their music and spreading love to each city they pass by.
