Thought you could only print on paper? Nope, clay lovers rejoice! In this printmaking workshop we will hand carve stamps to make wall charms

Join artist Madison Laidlaw for a fun-filled event where you can sip on your favorite brews while getting crafty. Printmaking is for more than just paper. Learn how to up your clay game with this wall charm workshop.In this class you will learn how to design and carve a rubber stamp that we will press into air dry clay to make a wall charm. Your ticket includes carving/printing supplies, 2 hours instruction, enough clay for 3 charms, and a your first beverage. You will leave this workshop with your clay charms, your carved stamp and the knowledge to keep on printing.No art or craft experience required. Just come with an idea, your bag in need of a makeover, and your crafty enthusiasm.

Agenda

Get your drink

Class will start with an artist demonstration of the drawing, transferring, and carving steps of the process. 

Carving Demo

This time is dedicated for participants to work on their projects at there own pace. This allows for 1-on-1 assistance and freedom to create in your own time. 

Studio time

Class will come back together when most students are ready to test their carved block. This demonstration covers inking and printing your block. 

Print Demo

Time for the fun part, printing your project.
