<h2>PBS Spice Road Live at SAI</h2>Every meal carries a history.Join South Asia Institute for a special evening celebrating the new season of PBS's acclaimed series Spice Road through film, conversation, and South Asian cuisine.Hosted by actor and co-creator Rupak Ginn and co-created by Emmy Award-winning, Oscar-nominated filmmaker Sami Khan, Spice Road journeys across the United States exploring how South Asian food tells stories of migration, family, resilience, and belonging. Season 2 begins in Chicago, featuring beloved local restaurants including Thattu, Indienne, Sukhadia's, and Cafe Nova.The evening includes a screening from the new season, followed by a conversation with Rupak Ginn and Sami Khan discussing documentary storytelling, cultural representation, and why food remains one of our most powerful ways of preserving history and building community.Guests will also enjoy South Asian cuisine inspired by the spirit of the series.Whether you're a lover of film, food, or culture, this event offers a rare opportunity to experience the people and stories shaping contemporary South Asian America.Your ticket includes: • Screening from the new season of Spice Road • Panel Discussion with Rupak Ginn, Sami Khan • South Asian cuisine • Audience Q&amp;AWe believe that cost should never be a barrier to attending a program at South Asia Institute.
