Learn the Japanese art of Kintsugi and transform broken ceramics into beautiful, functional pieces repaired with gold.
What To Expect
Led by Clare of Sowasa Studio, this hands-on workshop offers an introduction to the meditative art of Kintsugi and the deeper principles of Wabi-Sabi. Throughout the evening, guests will learn how to prepare broken ceramic pieces, sculpt food-safe epoxy into fractured seams, and finish their repairs with gold leaf dust.
Along the way, Clare will share the philosophy behind the practice, including the seven principles of Zen that inspire this timeless art form. Rooted in the belief that imperfections and wear are not flaws to hide, but stories worth honoring, Kintsugi invites us to see beauty in resilience, transformation, and renewal.
All materials will be provided.
