The wordTa’leefmeans “the coming together of many things” and describes our mission to build community by creating safe spaces where all hearts can come together in dialogue, education, and fellowship. We provide the ideal experience for anyone curious to learn about Islam and offer a safe and friendly environment for newcomers and old friends. Our mantra “Come as you are, to Islam as it is” says it all.  In addition to our community Wellness, Living & Learning, Inheritors (for youth) and Convert Care programs, we host special events throughout the year with scholars, artists, and community leaders from across the United States.Ta’leef Collective is a 501c3 (72-1528691) public benefit nonprofit organization. Our programs are zakat eligible and all donations are tax-deductible.

Knowledge without practice is a tree without fruit. Being Muslim gave us the map; Walking the Path invites us to actually use it. Join us for a practical, eight-week series with Anse Hazel Gómez devoted to turning our knowledge of the religion into a lived reality. Each class will focus on a virtue or challenge at the heart of spiritual growth — from confronting our sins and understanding how God's mercy meets our mistakes, to cultivating the qualities the Prophet ﷺ embodied most: trustworthiness, mercy, patience, and humility. Whether you're working to rebuild your relationship with God, refine your character, or simply take your deen from the mind to the heart, this class offers a space for honest reflection and genuine transformation.Hazel Gómez is a faith-inspired community organizer and chaplain-in-training who teaches halaqat and classes locally and nationally on topics ranging from convert care and spirituality to justice and Muslim women's issues. She studies the Islamic Sciences with Rabata's Ribāṭ University under Anse Dr. Tamara Gray and is pursuing her Master of Divinity in Islamic Chaplaincy at Bayan Islamic Graduate School. Time spent with both renowned scholars and seasoned organizers shapes the holistic perspective she brings to her teaching.
