Have you always wondered what it takes to write sketch comedy? Are you already an improviser? GREAT NEWS. You are halfway there! That’s right! Writing a sketch is as simple as establishing WHO, WHAT, and WHERE in an improv scene. In this workshop, we will cover the basics of crafting a sketch through play, idea generation, and collaboration. So, bring your funny self and a notebook or laptop, and let’s get started!Katie Wilson is a long-time comedian, director, producer, and educator all over the midwest, and a faculty member at The Second City Training Center (Chicago and virtual), where she teaches improv, sketch, and public speaking for all ages. She was also a 2023 graduate of The Directing Program at The Second City.
