Create a stunning custom knife in this hands-on woodworking class! You’ll craft a one-of-a-kind kitchen tool that’s as functional as it is impressive. This beginner-friendly workshop covers every step of the handle-making process, from shaping and drilling to gluing and finishing.
What You’ll Do:
• Prep your walnut scale blanks by gluing them together for shaping
• Drill pin holes and mount the knife tang using a drill press
• Trace and cut out the knife handle profile using a bandsaw
• Adhere the scales and pins to the knife using epoxy
• Shape your handle using a combination of sanding tools (blocks, disc, and spindle sanders)
• Apply a food-safe finish to enhance the natural walnut grain

Important Info:
• Ages 14+ — minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

• Each attendee takes home a completed chef’s knife
