Overview

A reggae & ska afternoon of music by THE FUSS and THE LOVING PAUPERS on Sunday, September 6th at 2PM

Join us for an afternoon of reggae and ska music by THE FUSS and THE LOVING PAUPERS. Washington DC's own purveyors of riddem and sound!

About The Loving Paupers:

The Loving Paupers are a DC-based collective brought together through a love of Jamaican masters, with affinity for late 70s/early 80s roots. This reggae/dub band has an ever-present influence of Lennon-McCartney. The result is a one-of-a-kind alchemy of hypnotic Jamaican riddim meets British Invasion melody.

About The Fuss:

The Fuss is a dynamic ska and rocksteady band from Washington, D.C. Their sound pays tribute to the music of 1960’s Jamaica and the British Mod scene, while putting modern slant on the timeless styles. The group showcases 3-part female harmonies and a 3-piece horn section. The Fuss's lively vibe gets a crowd going, yet is smooth and steady for a great groove. Since the band formed in 2014, they’ve had the pleasure of sharing the stage with The Skatalites, The Selecter, The Toasters, The Pietasters, Eastern Standard Time, The Interrupters, Save Ferris, The Steady 45’s, The Scofflaws, and many more.

We've got the music, we've got great pizza from Pizzaria Paradiso all afternoon all you have to bring is the family and your dancing shoes!
