There is a quality of mind that is warm, open, and at ease with ourselves and others. Buddhist meditation cultivates this through four qualities: loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity. These are not abstract ideals but trainable states that counter stress and disconnection. This half-day retreat includes teaching, guided meditation, and silent practice to help you experience each one. No experience with Buddhism or meditation is needed. All are welcome. Please bring your own lunch or plan for nearby options. Led by Venerable Kalden.
