Ashland Sarcasm Festival @ Angus Bowmer Theatre - Beth Stelling - Early

Epic Ashland and Storytown Ashland Present: Saturday night brings back the festival's favorite host Jay Light - returning to Ashland, to usher in a night that may be impossible to top.

Featured comedian Eeland Stribling opens the evening — and if you haven't encountered him yet, prepare yourself. A former wildlife biologist, two-time New Faces winner at Comedy Works, winner of the 2025 Don't Tell Comedy competition, and recently selected for Kevin Hart's standup competition on Netflix, Stribling has been called the "Black Steve Irwin" — and it fits. He tours the country teaching fly fishing and telling jokes, and his hit series Comedians on the Fly takes your favorite comics out on the water to get tangled up and maybe catch a fish. Eeland's comedy is warm, wildly funny, and guaranteed to send you home with a fresh opinion on just about everything. A perfect fit for Ashland — and an absolute don't-miss.

Then, the moment you've been waiting for — headliner Beth Stelling. A Los Angeles-based comedian and writer, Stelling has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, appeared in Netflix's The Standups, and written for Judd Apatow's HBO series Crashing. She has released two comedy albums and two specials — including Girl Daddy, which premiered on HBO Max — and her album Simply the Beth was named one of the best comedy specials of 2015 by Vulture.

Beth Stelling's comedy transforms personal, often uncomfortable experiences into laugh-out-loud moments — confessional, sharp, and disarmingly honest. She earns the laugh and the feeling at the same time, which is a rare thing. Expect a headlining set that will stay with you long after the Bowmer's lights come up.
