Robert Deitch is one of Americana’s most compelling new voices — a late-blooming artist whose songs carry both grit and grace. After years as a Nashville staff writer with more than 30 cuts, he has stepped into the spotlight with his critically acclaimed album Legacy (Golden Bear Records, 2025).

Praised as “worthy of a Grammy” (Texas NPR) and “one of the very best albums in recent memory,” (Americana Highway) Legacy showcases Deitch’s soulful voice and storytelling, drawing comparisons to Guy Clark, John Prine, and Chris Stapleton. Singles like “Better Things,” “Trailer Park Romance,” “Goodbye Nashville,” and “Bullet Holes” (featuring Mary Gauthier) highlight his range from humor to heartbreak.

With hundreds of performances, including the Bluebird Café and The Listening Room in Nashville, Deitch has built a reputation as a writer’s writer and a performer who leaves audiences moved long after the last note.
