What should I wear?

Dress for the weather! T-shirt, long sleeve, whatever you'll be comfortable in. Sometimes waves come up higher than expected, so if you are wearing long pants, make sure they can get a little wet.

Question 3

Do I have to wear shoes?

Accepted Answer

Yes! While on the more sandy parts of the beach, shoes are not a must, but they are on the tidepools. Rocks can be sharp and slippery, so you'll want to make sure your feet are protected.

What are good shoes to wear?

Closed-toed shoes or outdoor/ hiking sandals are great. You'll want to make sure they have a good tread and can get wet. Flip-flops and slides are not recommended.

What if the weather is bad?

A little bit of drizzle is okay with us, but in the event of dangerous weather conditions, the class will be postponed.

Do I need to know anything about the ocean to join?

Nope! This is open to everyone, no experience required.

What should I bring?

We are on the beach! Bring sunscreen or a hat to protect from the sun, a water bottle, and fun energy!
