<p>Join us for a moment of recitation, reflection, and conversation as we take turns reading Frederick Douglass’s 1852 speech, “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?” Co-presented with Mass Humanities and the Cape Cod Cape Verdean Museum &amp; Cultural Center, this reading invites everyone to engage directly with Douglass’s words and consider their continued urgency around freedom and justice today.</p>
