After closely monitoring the weather and air quality throughout the week—and after speaking with our venue and event partners—we've made the decision to move VORTEX Touches Grass to our official rain date:

🌿 THIS SUNDAY • July 19 • 1PM–7PM

While Saturday's forecast has continued to change by the hour, the combination of unpredictable storms and ongoing air quality concerns made us feel this was the safest and most responsible decision for everyone involved.

Our biggest priority has always been making sure attendees, performers, vendors, staff, and everyone traveling to and from the event can enjoy the day safely. Rather than waiting until the last minute and having everyone scramble, we'd rather give everyone as much notice as possible.

No last-minute door price increase.

If you were already planning on coming Saturday, we truly hope you'll join us on Sunday instead.

🎟 REFUND UPDATE: Although our standard Eventbrite refund window has already passed, anyone unable to attend due to the move to Sunday may still contact us through Eventbrite for a refund request. VORTEX Touches Grass is currently NOW scheduled for Sunday, July 19. We're monitoring the forecast closely and will make a final weather decision Friday evening (IT'S BEEN MADE), when forecasts are much more accurate.

If thunderstorms make Saturday unsafe, our official rain date is Sunday, July 19 (1PM–7PM), arranged with the venue in advance.

On Sunday, July 19th, we gather beneath ancient trees and centuries-old stone walls at historic Grumblethorpe in Germantown.

A place where revolutions were fought, ghosts are rumored to linger, and the oldest ginkgo tree in North America quietly watches the passage of time.

For one day only, the bats leave the warehouse.
