On January 14, the Register Book Club welcomes best-selling Newport Beach author Dean Koontz, whose latest novel "Ashley Bell" has just been published. The book is largely set in Orange County.
This special community reading event features Koontz in conversation with Register pop culture writer Peter Larsen. Tickets are $10 each and all proceeds benefit Canine Companions for Independence, a nonprofit organization Koontz has supported for more than 20 years. 
Doors Open:
For the 3:30pm event: Doors will open at 2:30pm.
For the 7:00pm event: Doors will open at 6:00pm.
If you arrive early, you may be asked to wait in line until the check-in time has begun. 
 
Book Sales/Signing:
Books will be available for sale by Book Carnival, but quantities are limited so come early or purchase a book ahead of time. There will be a book signing opportunity after each event for registered attendees. In fairness to other attendees, there will be a limit of two items to be signed by the author. 
 
DOGS:
For those with dog allergies, please be aware that dogs from Canine Companions for Independence will be present at this Book Club event. However, attendees are not permitted to bring their own dogs to the event.

Orange County Register, 625 N. Grand Ave., Santa Ana
 
Refund Policy:
Please cancel within forty-eight (48) hours of the event for a full refund, as well as to allow others to sign up in time for the event.
