It is the mission of The International Marketplace Coalition to promote the revitalization of the Lafayette Square area by creating an environment conducive to attract and retain sustainable economic development for the benefit of this community, the city of Indianapolis and the region.The International Marketplace is a place where immigrants from cultures across the world have come together to create an environment unique to Indianapolis and even within a broader Midwestern region. By coming together, we are transforming the International Marketplace into a destination known for its ethnic retail and dining experiences.

Indy's Global Village

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and serves as an opportunity to reflect on the ongoing journey toward equality, understanding, and inclusion. Through music, art, storytelling, education, and community engagement, this event recognizes the contributions and achievements of African Americans while bringing people of all backgrounds together in celebration.Enjoy an afternoon of live performances, cultural presentations, local vendors, community organizations, educational exhibits, and family-friendly activities. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore our Juneteenth exhibit, which highlights important moments, stories, and individuals that have shaped American history.Whether you are learning about Juneteenth for the first time or continuing a cherished tradition, we invite you to celebrate with us and be part of this meaningful community gathering.
