1. Do I need to be a professional to attend?

Not at all! Our mixers are open to all experience levels. Whether you are building your very first portfolio or you are a seasoned professional looking to network and test new concepts, you are welcome to join us.

2. Are models or photographers provided?

Accepted Answer

FD Photo Studio provides the space, lighting, and backdrop setups, but we do not provide models or photographers. We encourage you to invite your own team or come ready to network and collaborate with the other creatives attending the event.

3. What equipment is included?

Accepted Answer

Your ticket includes access to three studios, the pre-set colored seamless paper backdrops, and Alien Bees B800 strobe lighting equipment available in those rooms. Feel free to bring your own lights.

4. What kind of backdrops will be available?

Accepted Answer

We will have a variety of vibrant and classic colored seamless paper backdrops set up across all three studios. The colors are pre-selected and set up by our team to provide a great mix of options for editorial and portrait photography.

5. Can my friend come just to watch or help out?

Accepted Answer

Everyone who enters the studio during the mixer must have a valid ticket. If you have an assistant, makeup artist, or friend joining you, they will need to purchase a ticket. We recommend our Duo or Trio bundles for the best value!

6. Can I bring my own props?

Accepted Answer

You are welcome to bring standard wardrobe props, but please do not bring any hard-to-clean materials. Items like glitter, confetti, paint, fake blood, or smoke bombs are strictly prohibited to keep the studios clean for everyone.

7. What should models wear for this?

Accepted Answer

Whatever fits your style! Since we will have a variety of colored backdrops, bold fashion, editorial looks, and creative cosplays all work wonderfully. Feel free to bring a few outfit changes.
