2 days of craft workshops at The Hollymoor centre as part of Birminghams 'Healing Arts Week'

During Birminghams 'Healing Arts Week' we are hosting 2 days of craft workshops for families and indivduals to enjoy.We'll be running different workshops for each day:Wednseday 24th of June:1st session, 10am - 12pm<ul><li>Introduction to crochet and knitting</li><li>learning how to knit or crochet a square that can be a foundation for a bag or blanket</li></ul>2nd session, 1pm - 3pm<ul><li>Mindful sewing, Mindful mending</li><li>Exploring simple techniques to embroider a picture, patch that hole in your jeans or just let your creativity run free!</li></ul>Saturday 27th of June:3rd session, 10am - 12pm<ul><li>Textile jewellery</li><li>Explore decopage, crochet, knitting, and ways to put pieces of fabric together with stiches, buttons and more to create necklaces, earrings and braclets.</li></ul>4th session, 1pm - 3pm<ul><li>Worry dolls - traditional Guatemalan craft, these were traditionally made for you to tell all your worries to.</li><li>also will explore how to make fidget toys to give as a gift or to keep for yourself!</li></ul>Each workshop is being facilitated by Fiona Doney from Kanyini CiC.These sessions will be fully inclusive and encourage children and their families to craft together! Learning new skills, feeling happier, healthier and hopefully also making new friends in their local comunity.At the end of each sessions we have some free craft bags to give out so that once you get home you can continue on expanding your new craft skill!
