Concert III — California Frontiers

Amster Yard Sounds: Classical is back for the Autumn 2026 season! Curated by soprano Elizaveta Kozlova, the series showcases early repertoires that traveled between Spain and the Americas. Instituto Cervantes New York is proud to present California Frontiers, a curated collection of Franciscan mission repertoire written for small forces.

The first settlement in Alta California was established at San Diego harbor in 1769. Over the next 50 years, Franciscan missions were established along the coast as far north as present-day Sonoma. Music was central to life in these communities. This concert invites listeners into the world of sacred music composed during the peak of the missions' prosperity.

Entry & Seating Policy

To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, please note our entry guidelines:

• Members & Donors (Priority Entry): Instituto Cervantes New York members and those who secured their spot via donation are guaranteed priority entry.
• Free Ticket Holders: We highly recommend arriving early! Seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. No seats are reserved for general admission.
