About this Dish

A great pasta needs just a little sauce — and the secret is always in the ingredients and technique. In this class, our Scuola Chef will take you step by step through three Italian classics: a vibrant Pesto Genovese made with fresh basil and pine nuts, a perfect Pomodoro built from the finest San Marzano tomatoes, and a silky Cacio e Pepe that's all about the technique. Three sauces, three stories, one great evening.

In this Class You Will:

• Learn about classic Italian sauces and how they pair to particular pasta shapes

• Prepare all three sauces from scratch with the guidance of our Scuola Chef

• Enjoy a curated antipasto to start

• Sip a glass of Italian wine while cooking, followed by a second paired perfectly to the dishes

• Enjoy a curated antipasto to start as well as your own finished sauces, with one to take home

• Take home your recipe card to recreate it at home

Please note:

• This hands-on class is limited to 8 guests

• The style of this class is set up for two people per workstation. If you come with a party larger than 2, additional guests will be paired with another guest for the workshop

• The menu for this class is exclusive to the concept - some dietary restrictions may not be able to be accommodated for this format

• Restrictions: Ages 12 and older. Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

• One ticket purchase is valid for one guest

• Seating is first-come, first-served

• Class duration is approximate and may vary by 10-15 minutes

• All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce a valid government-issued ID proving they are 21 or older. Non-alcoholic beverages are available.

Groups of 5–10 guests: a minimum of 7 days' notice (class day not included) is required to receive a credit in the form of a coupon for a future class or event. Groups of up to 4 guests: a minimum of 4 days' notice (class day not included) is required to receive a credit in the form of a coupon code for a future class or event We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances or inclement weather. In the event of a cancellation, we will contact you directly to offer a full refund or credit toward a future event. We are not able to offer credit, transfers, or refunds for last-minute illnesses, work-related conflicts, or personal emergencies — however, you are always welcome to send someone in your place. If purchasing this class as a gift, please share this policy with the recipient, as it will still apply. Credits issued for La Scuola events are redeemable only for future La Scuola events and cannot be exchanged for store credit or Eataly gift cards.
