WICT has remained steadfast in its resolve to advance the position and influence of women through proven leadership programs and services at both the international and local level.The Washington DC/Baltimore Chapter of The WICT Network provides programming, networking, and leadership opportunities for all women in the cable telecommunications industry.  From substantive programming on cable telecommunications and emerging technologies, to skills-based and professional development programs, to mentoring, networking, personal growth and leadership opportunities, the Washington DC/Baltimore Chapter supports women, and men allies, at all levels of our industry.  The WICT Network Washington DC/Baltimore Chapter has close to 250 members who have the opportunity to build relationships with peers in the industry and gain critical skills for career development.

From AI-Curious to AI-Confident (3 part series)

From AI-Curious to AI-Confident: A 3-Part Live SeriesYou've heard AI is everywhere — drafting emails, building strategies, even acting like a virtual thought partner. But knowing AI can do it all and knowing how to actually do AI yourself? Two very different things. That's why I'm bringing this 3-part live series to the WICT network — to take you from AI-curious to AI-confident, with practical skills you can use the second you log off. We'll connect AI directly to the things WICT women are already working on: speaking up with confidence, negotiating what you're worth, building visibility, and showing up with executive presence. AI isn't replacing those skills — it's amplifying them. 👉 Each session stands on its own — pop in for one or come to all three. They build on each other, but you won't be lost if you miss one.👉 Tools we'll use: Primarily ChatGPT and Google Gemini, with nods to Claude, Perplexity, Genspark, and Copilot so you know the broader landscape. You'll leave with:· The 5-step framework for a perfect prompt (Role, Goal, Context, Constraints + a bonus)· How to make AI "talk" like anyone — a senior exec, a recruiter, even Matthew McConaughey 😉· The AI Continuum: where you fall today and how to move forward· Why women especially need to lean into AI right now — and what's at stake if we don'tPerfect for beginners — and packed with shortcuts even regular users wish they knew. Build a digital twin.Most people use AI like a stranger off the street — and get stranger-off-the-street results. In this session, you'll build your own custom GPT: a digital twin trained on your voice, your standards, and your goals. Think of it as cloning your brain so the next time you need a LinkedIn post, a coaching prompt, or a tough conversation prepped — your bot delivers it in seconds, sounding exactly like you. You'll learn:· The difference between a generic assistant and a true digital twin (and why it matters)· The 8-part PERSONA framework: Role, Audience, Goals, Inputs, Outputs, Boundaries, Evidence, Finish Standards· Where bots go off the rails — and how to set guardrails so yours doesn't· A live build-along: we'll create one together, step by stepWalk in with an idea.
