Youth Mental Health First Aid
Learn basic first aid skills needed to help youth or a young adult who is experiencing a mental health problem or crisis including suicide.
Focus is given to recognizing the early warning signs of a mental health problem to full-blown suicidal ideation. This workshop is designed for members of the public who have frequent contact with youth and young adults such as parents, school staff, coaches, youth workers and volunteers. It is not intended for professionals who have a background in mental health. Participants must be present for the entire curriculum to receive a certificate. There is no pre-work required for this training as this will be a full, in-person training.
