Join us to learn more about the Extension Master Gardener Program in Durham County and how you can apply for our upcoming training!

Extension Master Gardener volunteers are trained to help connect North Carolinians with the vast reservoir of horticultural knowledge and research developed at NC State University and North Carolina A&T University. Our program connects you with a network of enthusiastic gardeners, research-based information, and so many ways to share your love of gardening to help our community grow.

Program Requirements:

  • Complete Initial Training, Thursdays 9am-12:30pm, January-May 2027 at the Durham County Cooperative Extension office
  • Volunteer 40 hours annually
  • Continue the journey through ongoing education classes

Join us to learn more about the program and receive your application for the spring 2027 Initial Training class. Attendance at an information session is required to apply.
