AYR serves individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities, offering both educational resources for instructors and community-based yoga classes and events for those in need of adaptive wellness practices.

We will explore how to support individuals with IDD (intellectual Developmental, and / or Physical disabilities) through Yoga Practices.<ul><li>Friday, July 10th from 6:00pm-8:30pmET</li><li>You DO NOT need any prior yoga training to join</li><li>Yoga Teachers can receive YACEU</li></ul>YOU WILL...• Explore commonly used terms in inclusive and adaptive yoga, including disability-affirming language, access-centered cueing, and what “inclusion” actually looks like in practice (not just in theory).• Gain a foundational understanding of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and how neurodiversity, sensory processing, mobility differences, and communication styles can show up in a yoga space.• Practice an adaptive yoga session designed for mixed-ability groups, with an emphasis on functional movement and breath awareness. We will break down the practice afterwards.• Take a look into ethical marketing within Adaptive Yoga.• Have time for individual questionsPLEASE NOTE: The zoom link will be sent via email.
