Born at Red Rocks Amphitheater in 2017, this Colorado-based project brings something truly special to every performance — classic Grateful Dead songs filtered through a kaleidoscope of psychedelic country, old-school R&B, and deep funk grooves. Anchored by Arthur Lee Land's signature hand-painted 1955 B-Bender Fender Telecaster, Twang Is Dead stays true to the improvisational spirit the Dead are known for while taking the music somewhere entirely its own. Expect surprises, expect guests, and expect a night where the music never stops.
