The 2026 Health Summit: Advancing Health in a New Era is an exciting conference dedicated to exploring innovative approaches and strategies to improve the health and well-being of our people and communities across the state.

New for 2026! The Summit will kick off with the Pre-Summit Opportunity & Job Fair on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 PM, providing students, recent graduates, job seekers, and young professionals with the opportunity to connect with employers, graduate programs, healthcare organizations, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community partners offering careers, internships, volunteer opportunities, and professional development resources.

Join us on Sept 24 & 25, 2026 at Dillard University, 2601 Gentilly Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70122 for two days of inspiring keynote presentations, engaging panel discussions, interactive breakout sessions, networking opportunities, and collaborative learning experiences. The Summit will open on Thursday, September 24, at 1:00 PM (registration begins at 12:00 PM) and continue on Friday, September 25, at 9:00 AM (registration and a continental breakfast begin at 8:00 AM). The Louisiana Center for Health Equity, in collaboration with the Louisiana Department of Health, New Orleans Health Department, and Dilard University and additional partners, is pleased to announce the 2026 Health Summit: Advancing Health in a New Era.

The purpose of the 2026 Health Summit is to improve health in Louisiana by focusing on outcomes for women and children. The ultimate goal of our collective work is LA40by2030, or for Louisiana to rank in the top 40 for health outcomes by 2030. This work includes identifying, developing, and promoting practices and policies to support children and families.

Ambassadors will gain leadership experience, expand their professional network, support outreach efforts, and play an active role in advancing the LA40by2030 initiative.

General Admission (Regular): $150 (Beginning July 25, 2026)

Student and Early Bird tickets go on sale June 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM CT.

Pre-Summit Health Opportunity & Job Fair

The Pre-Summit Health Opportunity & Job Fair will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 PM. Attendees wishing to participate in the Career Fair should register using the Pre-Summit Opportunity & Job Fair Attendee ticket.

Employer & Organization Tables

Organizations interested in recruiting students, recent graduates, and professionals may reserve an Employer & Organization Table for the Pre-Summit Opportunity & Job Fair on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Table registration includes exhibit space and complimentary registrations for designated organization representatives. See the Employer & Organization Table ticket for additional details.

Lodging

A block of rooms have been reserved at the NOPSI Hotel New Orleans at 317 Baronne Street, New Orleans, LA 70112. NOPSI Hotel places guests within walking distance of the French Quarter, world-class dining, entertainment, and cultural attractions. The hotel's central location also provides convenient access to streetcar lines, public transportation, and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.

  • Two Double Queen Beds are available for a $30.00/night upgrade.
  • *Please note there is a $30.00 occupancy fee per additional guests in rooms with 3-4 occupants. 3 occupants = $30 daily fee 4 occupants = $60 daily fee
  • Rates will be available three days prior and three days after the event dates indicated in the room block
