The overview says the event is tailored for girls 8-18, can I bring my child that's younger?

Children of all ages are welcome, but the activities are tailored for 8-18 year olds. If you want to bring your child(ren) under 8, please remember this event is hosted in a hangar at a very busy airport. Parents are responsible for the safety of their child(ren) at all times during the event!

Do parents need to purchase tickets to attend?

Nope! You only need to register your child(ren) for the event!

How do I  get to the venue?

Accepted Answer

Atlantic Aviation is very easy to find utilizing any GPS service! But be aware - Atlantic Aviation is located through the Southern entrance of Austin Bergstrom International, not the main entrance.

What's the parking situation like?

Accepted Answer

There is ample parking at the location! Once you park start walking toward the Atlantic Aviation building and look for Girls in Aviation Day signs!

Question 5

Am I  allowed to drop my kid(s) off and pick them up after the evemt?

Accepted Answer

Children who are not of the age to drive themselves to the event must be accompanied by a chaperone at all times!

Question 6

Do I  have to stay for the duration of the event?

Accepted Answer

No - You may enter and leave the event at any time! Just be advised that once you leave you are not permitted to re-enter the event.

Question 7

Are pets allowed?

Accepted Answer

No! This event is housed in a hangar at a busy airport, so for the safety of everyone, including your pets, we ask that you don't bring any animals (even if they're on a leash or in a bag).

If I  have any questions or concerns while attending the event who can I  talk to?

Accepted Answer

Any volunteer in a 2024 Girls in Aviation Day t-shirt should be able to help you, but if not, look for the event leaders who will be wearing high-visibility vests!
