Launching the National Family Resource Center Model

Founded in 2011, the National Family Support Network (NFSN) is a membership-based organization comprised of state networks of two or more Family Resource Centers working together within a collective impact framework to ensure coordinated quality support for families. As the United States’ coordinating body for Family Strengthening & Support networks, the NFSN currently has 38 member networks, comprised of more than 3,000 Family Support and Strengthening organizations, representing the great geographical and demographic diversity of the nation.The mission of the NFSN is to promote positive outcomes for all children, families, and communities by leveraging the collective impact of state networks and championing quality family support and family strengthening practices and policies.

A Unified Framework for High-Quality, Community-Based Family Support

<h3><strong><strong>What does it mean to have a shared national framework for Family Resource Centers?</strong></strong></h3><p>Join the National Family Support Network (NFSN) for the official launch of the new National Family Resource Center (FRC) Model, a landmark framework designed to strengthen quality, consistency, prevention, and family-centered practice nationwide.</p><p>This national framework builds upon decades of Family Resource Center practice, prevention-oriented family support, the nationally recognized Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening &amp; Support, and growing national recognition of Family Resource Centers as essential prevention infrastructure, including the historic federal recognition and definition of Family Resource Centers within the reauthorized Title IV-B of the Social Security Act.</p><p>Participants will receive an overview of the major components of the FRC Model Toolkit and hear examples from the field about what implementation can look like from both Family Resource Center and statewide network perspectives.</p><p>Family Resource Centers (FRCs) are trusted, community-rooted hubs that strengthen families, build protective factors, and connect communities to prevention-oriented support.</p><p>Today, more than 3,000 Family Resource Centers across the United States serve millions of children, caregivers, and families each year through prevention-focused, strengths-based, and family-centered approaches.</p><p>Developed by the National Family Support Network (NFSN), the new FRC Model Toolkit provides a foundational national framework for defining, implementing, strengthening, and advancing Family Resource Centers across diverse communities and systems.
