America the Beautiful: Steven C & Friends in Concert

Pianist and composer Steven C celebrates America's 250th with a free concert at the Cathedral of Saint Paul on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 7:30 PM.

Steven C Anderson is pulling out all the stops with his expressive arrangements of patriotic favorites for solo piano orchestrated by trumpet, acoustic guitar, mandolin, violin, vocals and more.

And while it may be Steven C's name on the bill, the true star of "America the Beautiful" could very well be "Bosy," his nine foot Bösendorfer grand piano, which will move to the majestic cathedral this summer just as it does for the holidays. Maybe there really is such a thing as Christmas in July!

Steven will be joined by Grammy award winning guitarist and singer/songwriter Pat Donohue with Richard Kriehn on mandolin, violin and vocals (both of Prairie Home Companion fame). He will also feature trumpeter Solomon J. Parham, beloved Twin Cities performer, educator and master of Jazz, R&B, gospel, hip hop, and classical genres, along with vocalists Jillian Anderson, Kathryn Budzien and Npoojnpaim Her.

The musical celebration of America's 250th also includes a tribute in song to veterans and active duty military, so uniforms are encouraged!

The concert concludes by 9:00 PM and will be followed by the Saint Paul Rotary Club's fireworks display at dusk.

Wear your red, white and blue and bring your friends and family to this free patriotic concert at 7:30 PM on Saturday, July 4, at the Cathedral of Saint Paul (239 Selby Ave, St Paul, MN 55102).

Registration is requested for planning purposes. Seating is general admission and doors open at 6:30 PM. Free parking is available on surrounding streets and in the Cathedral lots. Please note that the Cathedral of Saint Paul's 5:15 PM Mass will take place as scheduled that evening, and it is expected to conclude at 6:15 PM.
