The music team that brings you On a Winter's Night is switching things up this year. On a Summer's Night will be presented Friday, August 14th at 7 PM. It will be held at the Center for the Arts, 2209 South Knoxville Avenue in Russellville AR. This event is the yearly fundraiser for Arkansas Center for Music Education (ACME), a local 501c3 non-profit that offers music performance opportunites for the community, including opportunities for the special needs community. Members of several of ACME's performance groups, Russellville Community Band, the Community Festival Chorale and Heartstrings (special needs choir) will participate in this event.
This year we will be joined by River Valley native, Tom Yankton, who will be our guest artist. Tom now lives in San Antonio and performs with his band as well as Generation Radio. Tom has toured as a musician and singer with country supergroup, Rascal Flatts. He has also opened for Chicago, Luke Bryan, and Christina Aguilara as well as performing on The Today Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
