First Annual Youth Caregiver Symposium
Join us in person for the First Annual Youth Caregiver Symposium to share, learn, and connect!
Join Caregivers Outreach: Youth Empowerment (COYE) for the First Youth Caregiver Symposium, a groundbreaking event dedicated to raising awareness of youth caregiving and advancing support for the millions of young people who help care for a parent, grandparent, sibling, or loved one affected by illness, disability, aging, mental health challenges, or other chronic conditions.
This inaugural symposium will bring together educators, healthcare professionals, social workers, researchers, policymakers, community organizations, caregivers, and youth advocates to explore the hidden realities of youth caregiving and develop strategies to better identify, support, and empower youth caregivers in our communities.
Attendees will engage in:
- Inspiring keynote presentations from leaders in youth caregiving
- Interactive workshops focused on identifying and supporting youth caregivers
- Panel discussions featuring professionals, advocates, and individuals with lived caregiving experience
- Networking opportunities with schools, healthcare systems, community organizations, and policymakers
- Resource sharing and best practices for creating youth caregiver-friendly environments
The symposium serves as a call to action for schools, healthcare providers, government agencies, and community organizations to work collaboratively to ensure that youth caregivers are recognized, supported, and connected to the resources they need to thrive.
Together, we can build a future where no youth caregiver feels invisible and every young caregiver has the opportunity to succeed at home, in school, and in life.
