Overview

Learn about personal archiving resources available at the Los Angeles Public Library!

Explore the new DIY archiving resources available at the Arroyo Seco, Watts, Sun Valley, and North Hollywood Branch Libraries. You can reserve time with the Epson Expression 13000XL to scan photographs, negatives, and more. Learn how you can check out an oral history backpack, with a Zoom recorder and guide to help you start your own oral history project.

Join us for a virtual info session to learn about these resources, related programming, and ask us about personal archiving. No prior knowledge or experience with an archival scanner or Zoom recorder necessary–we will learn together!

Program link will be sent prior to the event.

For a more hands-on session join one of our in-person sessions at the Arroyo Seco Regional Branch, Watts Branch, and Sun Valley Branch Libraries. More information and program calendar at lapl.org/community.

The Los Angeles Public Library offers this workshop as part of Community: Your Archive, Your Legacy, an initiative supported by the Library Foundation of Los Angeles and funded by the Mellon Foundation.
