Color Lab: Natural Dye Painting Workshop

621 Gallery is committed to bringing contemporary art, artists, ideas, and programs to the North Florida and South Georgia region. Offerings include monthly educational programming for children and adults, literary readings, musical, theatrical and dance performances, as well as participation several times a year in outdoor festivals at Railroad Square. 621 Gallery presents the work of 150-250 incredible local and national artists annually in a variety of formats, including solo and group exhibits (2-4 exhibits per month), from September through June each year. We do our best to showcase a balanced mix of established and emerging artists.

A vivid symphony of color-bound creativity awaits, as Alexis Akua prepares to host yet another sensational Color Lab Workshop, only at the 621 Gallery. Bringing her expertise in visual storytelling to the forefront of this endeavor, Akua aims to use her knowledge, gained from years of experience and scholarly artistic work, to educate and edify the curious, the creative, and the conscientious. With plant-based painting and art inspired by the bountiful world of fabric-dying, this workshop is set to be an all-natural experience of environmental empathy.Come, stop by, and create here at 621.Oh, and make sure to take your piece (and a delightful gift bag with herbal tea and powders) home with ya!
