S.T.E.A.M Saturday: Build a Natural Park
Sculpt a 3D wetland diorama and learn about local parks!
Calling all nature explorers! Come explore the wild, watery history of Queens. Find out what Flushing looked like when Lewis Latimer lived here and why wetlands still protect our borough today. Sculpt your very own 3D wetland diorama, and compare natural land to developed areas. You can also learn which local parks you can visit to see these amazing ecosystems in person all around the City!
STEAM Saturdays at LLH are free events, open to all ages and abilities, that feature a hands-on activity, a family-friendly scavenger hunt, and self-guided tours. Select a one-hour time slot between 11am and 3pm! Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
