The Cooperative Extension Service is a partnership between state land grant universities, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and county governments throughout the nation. In Leon County, the partnership includes theUniversity of Florida(UF),Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences(IFAS),Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University(FAMU), andLeon County Government.UF/IFAS Extension’s mission is to develop knowledge in agriculture, natural resources, and the life sciences, and to make that knowledge accessible to sustain and enhance the quality of human life.
