Is the event free to attend?

General admission is free. Some optional experiences, like VIP tickets (21+),  food and beverages, crafts, vendors, may have an additional cost.

Do I need a ticket to attend?

Yes. General admission is free, but we are asking all guests to register ahead of time so we can keep track of attendance and plan accordingly. VIP (21+) access, craft sessions, and select special experiences may require a separate paid ticket or registration.

The book brick craft is a fun, hands-on activity where guests can paint and decorate a brick to look like a book. You can design it after your favorite novel, a classic book cover, a favorite quote, or create your own bookish design.

Yes. Craft space is limited, so sign-up will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Day-of sales may be available only if there is still space remaining.

Yes! We will be collecting new and gently used books to help support local teachers, children, and community literacy efforts. Everyone who donates books will be entered into our raffle. The raffle winner will be drawn the next day, and winners will be contacted directly.

Gently used or new children’s books, middle grade books, young adult books, and adult books in good condition are usually best.

Both! The festival will be taking over the entire venue at Kern’s Food Hall, so guests can expect activities throughout the indoor and outdoor spaces. Vendors, authors, panels, food, music, and festival experiences may be spread across different areas of the venue.
