Somatic Yoga in the Salt Cave SHORT SUMMARY Join us for a gentle somatic yoga experience inside the peaceful environment of the Salt Cave. Through mindful movement, breath awareness, guided relaxation, meditation, and quiet rest, participants are invited to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and explore the practice of embodiment in a supportive small-group setting. LONG DESCRIPTION What does it mean to feel at home in your body? Somatic Yoga in the Salt Cave offers an opportunity to explore movement from the inside out. Rather than focusing on achieving perfect postures, somatic yoga invites participants to develop awareness of sensation, breath, and personal experience. The word somatic comes from the Greek word soma, meaning "the living body." Through gentle movement and mindful attention, participants are encouraged to notice how they move, breathe, and respond moment by moment. This experience takes place within the calming environment of the Salt Cave, creating a unique setting for slowing down and cultivating presence. Each session may include: • Gentle somatic yoga movements• Breath awareness practices• Guided relaxation• Meditation• Quiet reflection and rest This class is appropriate for all experience levels. Whether you are new to yoga or have practiced for years, the emphasis is not on performance but on awareness, curiosity, and personal exploration. Small group sizes allow for an intimate and supportive experience while honoring individual choice and comfort. AGENDA Arrival and Check-In Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the session. Welcome and Introduction An overview of somatic yoga, embodiment, and the session's theme. Somatic Yoga Practice Gentle movement and guided exploration designed to encourage awareness and presence. Guided Relaxation and Meditation An opportunity to slow down, settle, and observe. Quiet Rest Time for reflection and integration within the Salt Cave environment. Closing A gentle transition back into the day. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Do I need yoga experience? No. This class is designed for all experience levels. What is somatic yoga? Somatic yoga is an approach to movement that emphasizes embodiment, awareness, and personal experience. Rather than focusing on how a posture looks, participants are invited to explore how movement feels. What should I bring? Please bring white socks for use inside the Salt Cave. Are phones allowed in the Salt Cave? No. Phones are not permitted inside the Salt Cave. Where can I store my belongings? Lockers are available for small personal items. Will there be chairs available? Yes. This is a chair yoga class. How large are the classes? Attendance is intentionally kept small to support a comfortable and personalized experience.
