July 2026 Beginners' Kayaking induction programme (7th, 14th, 21st, 28th)

Over 4 evenings, our volunteer instructors will take you through a structured induction programme to get to know our Club, our facilities and cover the basics required for the Paddle UK Discover Award. The programme will introduce you to different boats and the fundamentals of paddling on the beautiful Shadwell Basin. We'll even invite you to a free BBQ to get to know us better!
At the end of the programme you can choose to continue your membership and join us for many fun and challenging activities on the water.
Practical details:
Please arrive at 6.30 pm each Tuesday. The session will last approximately until 9.00 pm.
Make sure to bring appropriate clothing and footwear (Full details of recommended gear can be found here).
18+. You should be able to swim 25m independently.
