Edge4Vets offers veterans an in-person workshop where business mentors (our mentor/guests) join us to provide feedback and support as we guide you to translate your military strengths into "tools" for civilian success. We then connect you to hiring decision-makers at our partner companies to explore good jobs that can lead to great careers.

We're excited to share news of our new partnership with the Northeast Microelectronics Coalition (NEMC) and its 350 technology member companies, eager to hire veterans. They join companies such as Boston Children's Hospital, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, REMTEC and others eager to support you.

WHERE/WHEN: Wednesday, October 28, from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, UMASS Boston (and the William Joiner Institute) will host us for our next in-person workshop.

THREE STEPS to Career Success for Veterans:

1. On Oct 28, HR reps and hiring managers (decision makers from our partner companies) will work with you in small groups to help you identify your strengths from the military, including Values and Skills, and translate them for the civilian workplace. We'll start you on a process to create a personal PLAN4SUCCESS to express your strengths.

2. Following the session, we'll give you access to the Edge4Vets online course for additional support for those who wish to refine what they learn in the workshop. Through a series of short videos and exercises, the course will guide you to refine your PLAN4SUCCESS from the workshop and finalize it before you submit it to us to earn your Certificate.

3. We'll also give those who attend the workshop a list of the HR reps and hiring managers who attended from our partner companies. You'll be able to contact them for help to MATCH your skills and interests from your personal PLAN to opportunities at their companies and line up interviews with decision-makers.

Once you complete this Edge4Vets investment in yourself you will have gained an "edge" to get hired.
