Yoked to Christ - A Catholic Young Adult Retreat

Yoked to Christ: Finding True Freedom in Jesus is a Catholic young adult retreat focused on discipleship, mission, and the freedom that comes from walking with Christ.

Rooted in Jesus’ invitation in Matthew 11:28–30 — “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest… Take my yoke upon you and learn from me” — this retreat invites participants to bring their burdens to Christ and discover that true freedom is not found in doing life alone, but in being united to Him.

Held during Independence Day Weekend, as the United States marks the 250th anniversary of its independence, this retreat offers a timely opportunity to reflect on the meaning of freedom through the eyes of faith. In a culture that often defines freedom as independence, self-reliance, or limitless choice, Jesus offers another way: freedom through discipleship, surrender, communion, and mission.

Throughout the weekend, participants will be guided in prayer, reflection, and formation by our Bishop, who will serve as spiritual director for the retreat and be present throughout the weekend. The retreat will include daily Mass with Bishop, prayer experiences, small group sharing, community time, and opportunities to reflect deeply on what it means to be truly free in Christ.

This retreat is designed for young adults seeking renewal, clarity, deeper discipleship, and a stronger sense of mission.

This retreat is for young adults ages 18–39 who desire to grow in faith, deepen their relationship with Christ, and discover true freedom in Him.

You are welcome whether you are:

• Carrying burdens and longing for rest in Christ

No prior retreat experience is required.
