Join us for A Colonial Evening at William Penn Inn as we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with an elegant evening of history, hospitality, and heritage.Guests will enjoy a colonial-inspired four-course dinner in the Carriage Ballroom, featuring seasonal Pennsylvania flavors, cash bar with themed cocktails, and live historical entertainment with George and Martha Washington including their celebrated love story. The evening will include storytelling, table visits, photo opportunities, and a festive tribute to our nation’s past and shared future.The evening begins with a cash bar and themed cocktails, followed by a seated dinner featuring courses inspired by early American taverns and colonial traditions.Guests are encouraged to join in the fun and dress in colonial or period-inspired attire! Event Details Date: Friday, July 24th Time: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM Location: Carriage Ballroom at William Penn Inn Includes: Four-course dinner, live historical entertainment, table visits, and photo opportunities Cash Bar: Available throughout the evening 1st Course: Colonial Pepper Pot Soup A Philadelphia-inspired peppered beef and vegetable soup rooted in early American tavern tradition.2nd Course: Pennsylvania Summer Harvest Salad Mixed greens, local peaches, cucumber, pickled red onion, aged cheddar, toasted walnuts, and apple cider vinaigrette. Entree Course (Choice of 1)Roasted Lancaster County Chicken Breast Pan-roasted chicken breast with sweet corn spoonbread, summer vegetables, rosemary chicken jus, and roasted fingerling potatoes.Applewood-Smoked Pork Loin Apple cider demi-glace, whipped potatoes, and seasonal vegetables.Seafood-Stuffed Flounder Newburg Fresh flounder with crab and seafood stuffing, classic Newburg sauce, roasted fingerling potatoes, and summer vegetables. Dessert - Pennsylvania Apple Tarte Tatin Caramelized apples, puff pastry, caramel sauce, and vanilla Chantilly cream. Seating Arrangements: Guests may be seated at tables with other groups.Parking: Please park at the rear of the building and enter through the Banquet Entrance located on Sumneytown Pike.Seating Requests: We will make every effort to accommodate seating requests. Tickets purchased together will be seated together.
