The mission of Gammelgården Museum of Scandia is to preserve, present, and promote Swedish immigrant heritage and history. Through engaging exhibitions, educational programs, and community events, the museum aims to celebrate and share the rich history, arts, culture, traditions, and customs of the Scandinavian people as they relate to and impact contemporary American society.

Get ready to experiment with natural dyes using sunlight and create cool textile art with the Textile Center!

This two-hour class will include eco printing with steam and fresh botanicals on mordanted bandanas. While the steam sets the cloth, participants will learn how to use the same fresh botanicals to create solar dye jars, which they’ll take home with them.At the end of class, participants will unveil the completed eco-printed cloth and take home a unique eco-printed bandana as well.The class fee includes all tools, materials, and instruction from a Textile Center teaching artist.Cancellation Policy: Up to 3 weeks before the event – 50% refund. Under 3 weeks before the event, no refunds.
