American Legion KPFA Salmonfest 2026 Camping

The American Legion Post 18, located directly next to the Kenai Peninsula Fairgrounds (16340 Sterling Hwy, Ninilchik, AK) offers some of the most comfortable and convenient camping & RV/Trailer parking in relation to Salmonfest. Now managed by Kenai Peninsula Fairgrounds Association, the income from the lot is shared between both the Legion and the Fairgrounds. Thank you for staying with us and supporting our respective organizations!

All passes are now good for 4 nights, but you are not required to set up on Thursday. Due to extremely high demand and operational challenges from differing reservations, all campers will now pay the same fee whether staying for 1 night or 4.

YOU MUST BE PACKED UP AND OFF OF THE LEGION PROPERTY BY 12 NOON MONDAY AFTER THE FEST

There are tent + vehicle spaces and RV sites without hook ups, as well as a very small amount with hook ups. The sites that are available with hook ups sell extremely quickly. No exact location sites will be given until arrival.

RV/Vehicles +Trailer Camping (Hook ups + No Hook ups):

We have plenty of beautiful, accessible land for larger campers, vehicles with trailers, and RVs of all sizes on our camping reservation menu.

If you are bringing a vehicle + trailer or RV please be sure to choose the correct reservation type to ensure you have enough space and safe access to your site. Spaces are space dependent so please be sure to buy the correct pass for your size vehicle otherwise we may not be able to accommodate you. If you have a combo rig that is OVER 45 Ft, you will need to purchase 2 sites.

There are a small amount of hook ups, those spaces sell out extremely quickly but we have plenty of room to accommodate RVs and trailers without hook ups. Generators are allowed as long as they are not disruptive.

Car/Tent Camping:

Your campsite will be assigned at arrival.

Campfires allowed by permission of Head parking attendant only. Must be in a raised off the ground fire pit- unless there is a burn ban in effect by the forestry.

All sales are final -- No refunds -- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

Any unbecoming behavior towards your camping neighbors, or camping attendants will result in you being asked to leave without a refund.

Salmonfest is a waste conscious event. YOU are responsible for removing your trash and leaving it as clean as when you came.

CAMPGROUND GUIDELINES:

-Respect for the land is paramount.

-Absolutely no fireworks or discharging of firearms

-Dogs are allowed but must be contained and under control at all times. Excessive barking or loose dogs will likely lead to expulsion from the grounds.

-If you want a private fire it must be a raised fire pit.

-Alcohol is allowed in the campground but is not allowed on the festival grounds

-Porta-Potties will be centrally located to allow for easier and multiple cleanings

-No lasers

-Bring Trash bags

-No unauthorized vending You will be responsible for any and all damage made by your pet.
