Teetotal Initiative is a Pittsburgh-based 501(c)3 non-profit focused on individuals committed to a sober lifestyle.Teetotal Initiative’s inclusive and sober-focused high-quality programming addresses some of the most common causes of relapse - isolation, boredom, and loneliness. Our mission is to help individuals to sustain sobriety. Our goal is to enhance quality of life and support relapse prevention through free events, activities, and high-quality programming.​As the first-of-its-kind recreational sober community, Teetotal Initiative inspires a stigma-free and celebratory social atmosphere, promoting meaningful sobriety and community opportunities for all, regardless of their journey to recovery. We welcome all forms of recovery and are not aligned to any specific program. Teetotal Initiative does not provide support groups or professional medical services. Instead, we care for the “rest of life” that happens outside of formal treatment and group support and are a complement to anyone’s recovery toolbox.

Step into one of Pittsburgh’s most magical hidden gems… a place where nothing is quite what you expect.Perched high above the Allegheny River, the Bayernhof Museum is a one-of-a-kind castle built by Charles “Chuck” Brown, III, a visionary with a passion for music, mystery, and unforgettable experiences. What began as a dream in the late 1960s—when Chuck literally took to the skies in a helicopter to find the perfect location—became a 19,000-square-foot masterpiece filled with wonder, storytelling, and a world-class collection of antique automatic music machines.And trust us… this is not your typical museum tour.As you move from room to room, you’ll encounter over 100-year-old music machines that don’t just sit behind glass—they come to life. You’ll hear violins play themselves, orchestrions fill entire rooms with sound, and early jukeboxes transport you to another era.But the real magic?It’s in the journey.Hidden doors. Secret passageways. Unexpected twists around every corner. A surreal cave tucked inside the home.
