The Hutchinson River Restoration Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to the long-term protection and restoration of the Hutchinson River. We are committed to working with local communities, politicians, and other environmental organizations to ensure that the river is restored to a healthy habitat.Our mission is to restore and enhance the health of the Hutchinson River for current and future generations. We strive to reduce pollution, improve the river's water quality, and protect its wildlife and habitats. By working together, we believe we can create a healthier and more vibrant river for all to enjoy.

Join a volunteer cleanup! By working together to reduce trash in the river and along the shoreline, we can create a healthier river and ecosystem. Cleanup events are a fun way to meet like-minded people who share a vision for a cleaner, healthier river.

In an effort to help reduce the amount of trash that makes its way into the Hutchinson River, Hutchinson River Restoration Project will be hosting the Boston Post Cleanup in recognition of National Water Quality Month.Volunteers will help clean both the shoreline and nearby streets that directly contribute litter and debris into the river system through storm drains and runoff. By targeting these areas, we can help prevent pollution from entering the waterway and improve the health of the river and surrounding ecosystem.Join us in making a direct impact on the Hutchinson River while learning more about the connection between our streets, stormwater systems, and local waterways. Every piece of trash removed helps protect wildlife, improve water quality, and create a cleaner environment for the community.What to Bring:BootsLong-sleeve shirt &amp; JacketHatGlovesLet’s work together to restore the river—see you there!~Street parking is available.~60 &amp; 61 &amp; BX23 and a few other buses stop within a 5-10 minute walk to the location.~We will provide gloves, grabbers, trash bags, and anything else required for invasive removal and trash collection as well as water and a light snack.~Please purchase a ticket for everyone in your group so we have an accurate headcount.~By purchasing a ticket, you are agreeing to our <a href="https://bit.ly/HRRPWaiver" title="https://bit.ly/HRRPWaiver" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Waiver</a>.
