Fundraiser at the Historic Marshall Clothing Manufacturing Building to Benefit the DeKalb County Historical Society–
November 7 Butler, Indiana
The DeKalb County Historical Society proudly announces a special fundraising event on Saturday, November 7, hosted at the historic Marshall Clothing Manufacturing Company building, located at 101 North Pearl Street in Butler, Indiana. The Historical Society’s museum, situated directly across the street, will also be open throughout the day for extended tours. The Marshall building—a rustic, abandoned commercial property—offers a striking and atmospheric setting perfectly suited for a one‑night‑only pop‑up music venue. From 12:00 PM to 7:30 PM, free tours of the DeKalb County Historical Society building will be available, giving guests the opportunity to explore the county’s rich industrial and cultural heritage. Doors for the ticketed event at the Marshall building will officially open at 5:00 PM. Culinary offerings and beverages begin at 6:00 PM, plus an additional cash bar by Door 13. A silent auction will run from the time doors open until 7:30 PM, offering attendees the chance to bid on unique items. The evening concludes with a live performance by the Kate Hinote Trio from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The contemporary folk ensemble—based in the Detroit area—features Kate Hinote on vocals, Matthew Parmenter on violin, and David Johnson on acoustic guitar. The trio performs predominantly original material, weaving in select retro and modern covers that highlight their unique sound and sensibilities. Special thanks go to Brandon Still and Bill Arnold from Echoes in the Iron for partnering with the Historical Society and supporting this important community event. Event Schedule 12:00–7:30 PM – Free Tours of the DeKalb County Historical Society Building. 5:00 PM – Ticketed Event – Doors Open to the Marshall Building. 6:00 PM – Culinary Delight and Drinks + Door 13 Cash Bar. 5:00–7:30 PM – Silent Auction & Marshall Building Tours. 8:00–10:00 PM – Kate Hinote Trio Performance. All proceeds will benefit the DeKalb County Historical Society and its continued efforts to preserve, restore, and share the region’s rich historical legacy.
